Upcycle your top, skirts, pants or minidress into a mega scrunchie and headband. Fabric can be light to heavyweight and stretchy. Fabric can be natural or synthetic.

HOW IT WORKS

The process is simple. We will arrange the courier to pick up your clothing and send it to us. If you are in Melbourne you can drop them off at the Rose Street Artists market on Saturdays. It will take between 5 to 7 business days to get the job done and then we will ship it back to you.

How do I see if the garment is appropriate?

FABRIC WEIGHT:

A mid to heavyweight fabric means thicker sturdier fabrics with a bit of structure, generally used for pants, coats or light jackets/blazers. A lightweight fabric means thinner, often sheer very breathable fabrics, often used for summer dresses, skirts, tops and underwear.

Examples of the different weight of fabrics as follow:

  • Lightweight fabrics: silk, chiffon, georgette, crepe, cotton lawn or voile, organza, lace, mesh, linen.
  • Midweight fabrics: cotton or viscose twill, sateen, oxford, velvet, taffeta.
  • Heavyweight fabrics: upholstery fabric, canvas, brocade, poplin, denim. 

NATURAL OR SYNTHETIC:

To see if the fabric is natural or synthetic you should check your composition label.

Examples of natural or synthetic fabrics as follow:

  • Synthetic: polyester, acrylic, nylon, rayon, acetate, spandex, latex and Kevlar;
  • Natural: cotton, linen, hemp, bamboo, linen, wool, silk.
